A 10"x7" framed print of "Anastacia's Datura" has been purchased by an art collector from Brooklyn, New York.
Another Venetian Painting in the Works / 2009
I am working on another oil painting from my trip to Venice, Italy. I am having so much fun adding the hundred or so figures in this landscape scene. I have taken artistic license in adding the four of us who were traveling together on this day. I have placed myself on the bottom right, wearing a green sweater and facing the audience. A palette in hand and maybe an easel are also being considered. My dearest friend, Kathleen Key, is in the center and Anthony is first figure the left hand side with his hand over his shoulder. I have yet to place my wife somewhere in the foreground. In this particular scene, we had just finished breakfast and were heading out to the Piazza San Marco. The magnificent Santa Maria della Salute is clearly visible in the center of the painting. I'll keep you posted as the painting progresses.
